Eye cream or eye serum has become a staple product in my skin care regime as the area around my eyes is pretty dry. After finishing Forever Flawless Blue Diamond Eye Cream, I bought Urban Botanics Under Eye Cream. The thing that attracts me the most is it is free from parabens, alcohol and harmful chemicals. After using it for 2 weeks, here is my review on Urban Botanics Under Eye Cream.

Price- INR499 for 50g

The eye cream comes in a simple cardboard box packaging with all the information printed over it. The actual product comes in a pretty, frosty glass tub which is not fragile. The eye cream is protected with an inner protective lid to prevent cream from getting spilled or spoiled.

Urban Botanics Under Eye Cream is a gel based eye cream which is minty green in Color and looks really soothing to the eyes. It is quite light and gets absorbed quickly. The fragrance however is a bit strong for the eye cream though it won’t cause you a headache. The eye cream contains aloe Vera gel, cucumber, jojoba oil and almond oil that keeps eye area moisturized and healthy. I used it twice a day and my eye area look healthy with no crow feet. As much as I loved it, it caused me small nodules under my eye area. After going through the ingredients list, I found it contains wheat germ oil that is comedogenic. After using it for 2 weeks, I continued having nodules so I stopped using it. I think it will suit people with dry skin. I didn’t suffer from dark circles so can’t share my experience regarding it. As it feels cool and contains cucumber, it does cure puffy eyes.
PROS:
  • Free from harmful chemicals and parabens.
  • Moisturizing.
  • Anti ageing and prevents crow feet.
  • Good packaging.
  • Treats puffy eyes.
  • Reasonably priced as a little goes a long way.

CONS:
  • Caused me small nodules.
  • A bit strong fragrance.

Overall Thoughts:
Overall I was not impressed with Urban Botanics Under Eye Cream. It caused me small nodules that look really ugly. I think it will suit people with dry skin.
